CeljeMaribor’s Lent will once again host the start of the stage, while the stage will be the first serious test for the overall contenders on this year’s Tour of Slovenia. The first part of the stage will feature a categorised climb on Pohorje, but the decisive moment will be the finish with a challenging ascent to Celjska Koča and the finish line in front of the town hall in Celje. In the first part, riders will have a good opportunity to break away, but the stage win will most likely be decided by a smaller group of cyclists.
