Tomaž Grm, Slovenia Cycling: “Into the Fight for Green!”

“Biggest and most noticed cycling event in Slovenia records historic achievements in its 24^th edition. Some of the strongest elite teams will be on the start – five UCI World Tour team will start this race – but the race records will give biggest significance to media breakthrough and live broadcast. We’ll follow the cycling peloton and the beauty of Slovenia on the live broadcast on the national television and show all of this to the million of Eurosport viewers. Cyclists on the race will meanwhile go in the ‘Fight for Green’ and race for the green jersey on the Slovenian roads,” said Tomaž Grm, president of the Slovenian cycling federation, in time of final preparations for the start of the race.

“We are proud on all of these opportunities and for sure they are opening new ways for promotion of cycling and Slovenia. Organizers deserve all credits for the event on such a high level, we need to say thanks to supporters that trust in the race and we need to say thanks to all cycling fans that will support the race with a handshake and cheering for the riders, positive words and attendance on cycling events. In the past years we had proven that we can make a great event like Slovenian tour even better if we have common goals, this is why I look forward to this year’s race.
