BEST host on the Tour of Slovenia competition

For the first time ever we've created a special competition for all host cities of the race. Every destination that will host a start, intermediate sprint or finish of the 25th edition of the race can become BEST host.

Competition will take place in two stages, accredited media will have vote first and choose the finalsts, then it will be up to expert committe to decide on the winner. Whichever host will get the best score will become BEST host of the Tour of Slovenia 2018 and will be awarded with the replica of Wheel, 5200 years, the same trophy that also gets in the hands of the race winner.

First round of the competition will take place from 17th till 20th June, and it will be down to journalists, photographers, videographers and editors to send their votes. They will judge the venue on the basis of orderliness, hospitality, promotion, inclusion of the local community, fans and atmosphere.

We'll get three finalists after the first round of the BEST host competition. After that the judges go to work – panel will be composed from the members of the expert public, organization and race partners; however their criteria will be the same as in the round one. On 28th June we'll know who is the BEST host on the Tour of Slovenia!
