Green jersey – General Classification

Norwegian Halland Johannessen was the strongest of the favourites on stage 4 with mountain finish on Golte. A day later he didn’t let any surprises and won for the first time in the professional career. Halland Johannessen won overall ranking without a stage victory, which happened only twice in the last decade on the Tour of Slovenia.

Red jersey – Points classification

Dylan Groenewegen won two stages, but didn’t get points from the intermediate sprints. Fabio Christen on the other hand was one of the fiercest cyclists in the first two stages, and has victory from Rogaška Slatina. Swiss confirmed the classification victory in the last stage – he was 4th and got another 7 points. Fun fact – Fabio didn’t race in red on any of the stages, only on ceremonies (he was in either green or blue).

Blue jersey – Mountains Classification

Incredibly close competition, with all top-3 cyclists finishing the race with 12 points. Swiss Fabio Christen won the blue jersey due to better results on higher ranked climbs and better overall classification (he was 5th overall).

White jersey – Best Young Rider (U23)

Jakob Omrzel dressed in white after stage 2 and never let the jersey out of his hands. Even more, he was fighting for the overall podium, finishing the race in 4th place overall.

Best team

Italian team made a powerful comeback on stage 4, making their way from out of top-10 to second place on the team rankings. VF Group Bardiani-CSF-Faizane' also had a great last day, jumping to the top of the team rankings.
