Kids Tour of Slovenia – a race for the Pogačars and Rogličs of the future
We’ll crown Tour of Slovenia champion on June 18th, soon after that much younger cyclists will step on the stage, among whom there will certainly be some who will shape the world cycling scene in 10 years or more. The Kids Tour of Slovenia with have 4 stages with very different profiles.
The fifth Kids Tour of Slovenia race will take place from June 30 to July 2, with expected attendance of more than 350 cyclists from the countries. The race will feature two big upgrades – a time trial stage and a combination of two stages in one day, all of them of course adjusted to the according age groups. Time trial will take place with standard road bikes as the aero bikes and components are not permitted, due to the wish for the equal playing field.
The race will include riders from four age groups, boys and girls U13, U14, U15 & U17. 1st, 2nd and 3rd stage will count for the overall victory, stage 3 (criterium) will get bonifications (1 second for each point).
