Matej Mohorič foundation for the support of the young cyclists

World champion in the younger categories, 2-times stage winner on Tour 2021 and current national champion has finished the year with another extraordinary act – he established a foundation for the support of the young Slovenian cyclists.

Matej wrote on Instagram:

»MM foundation will support both Slovenian junior national team and cycling for younger categories on a more local level all around Slovenia. The goal is to bring children closer to the sport and create environment in which they can excel.

We'll help organize races and events that will introduce cycling to the kids and youngster, and to local clubs and individuals that can't cover all expenses for the successful racing in our sport.

I will join training camps for the juniors and some other events, and try to help further generations with my knowledge and experiences, not just with founds.

Not all of them will become future champions, but cycling can be a passion and a mean of healthy lifestyle for them for the rest of their lives.«
