Vikings are coming

For the first time ever, Tour of Slovenia will host a team from Norway – Uno-X Pro Cycling Team. This Scandinavian country is home to many great athletes, in the last years also a development center for cycling. List of countries with their teams on the Slovenian tour has thus increased to 37.

Uno-X Pro Cycling Team is professional continental team with mostly Norwegian riders and some Danes. One of the sports directors is legendary Kurt-Asle Arvesen, winner of stages on Giro and Tour.

Team was established in 2010 as a continental team, and advanced to UCI ProTeam rank last year.

Five Norwegian riders from World Team races on Tour of Slovenia in the 2015-18 period. Sven Erik Bystrom may come back in Slovenia, he was racing for Katusha in 2015, now he could help Tadej Pogačar and his team UAE Team Emirates. Maybe Amund Grondahl Jansen returns with Luka Mezgec and Team BikeExchange; he was already in Slovenia in 2018 with Primož Roglič and team Jumbo Visma.
