New milestone – we’ll reach total distance of 20K kilometers
Cyclists will pass new milestone mark on the third stage of the race.
If Tour of Slovenia would only go in the straight line, the peloton would be now on the opposite side of the world. 20.000 kilometers is just a little bit under the circumference of the Earth at the equator. But the race only visits the green haven called Slovenia (and sometimes its neighbors), so the milestone will be reached on the third stage, on the climb to Rovte.
26 years – 20.000 kilometers… Do you still think Slovenia is a small country?
Cyclists that reached previous distance milestones:
15-thousand kilometer (2010) – Nik Burjek (Sava Kranj)
18-thousand kilometer – Jan Tratnik (Amplatz)
19-thousand kilometer – Jon Božič (Adria Mobil)
Who will be the first one to pass 20K mark on 21st of June on the road towards Rovte (in what will be in total 141st stage of the race)
