Introducing stage 4 (7. 6.): Maribor - Golte (175.2km)

The longest stage with the most vertical meters at the 31st Tour of Slovenia. The stage will start in Maribor, and then cyclists will face three intermediate sprints and two categorized climbs, the second will take riders all the way to Golte. You can also ride the part of the route from Mozirje to the finish line yourself, as this year's My Tour of Slovenia is taking place on this section of the race (register now > https://tourofslovenia.si/en/my-tour).

What do the experts predict?

ANDREJ HAUPTMAN: "A real mountain stage with plenty of altitude meters. The race is made difficult by the cyclists, and this day will also be demanding due to the climb to Kranjski Rak a good 50 kilometres before the finish line. The cyclist who wants to win this year's Tour of Slovenia will need to have good helpers with them so that they can control the race there and then on the climb to Golte. The last kilometres of this climb are very steep, so the candidates for victory will need to have enough energy, as the race could be decided in this part. You can win or lose the race here."

UROŠ MURN: "The final climb to Golte will be decisive, the riders are more evenly matched than in the past and there will be no surprises in that regard. On the first big climb of the stage they will test their legs and give final instructions to their assistants, and then the climb to Golte will be decisive."
