2024 Tour of Slovenia Teams

The 30th edition of the Tour of Slovenia (12-16 June) has attracted a number of world-class teams, including three top-10 teams from the UCI rankings. Including the number one!

The team that stands out is of course world's number one – UAE Team Emirates (6th appearance on the Tour of Slovenia), team of Slovenian cyclists Pogačar and Novak. In total there are three teams that are ranked in the top-10 on the UCI rankings. Next to UAE, also Roglič's BORA - hansgrohe (6th appearance) and the French team Groupama - FDJ, for whom this will be the first appearance in Slovenia. Mezgeč's Jayco AlUla (12th appearance) is currently ranked 11th.

Among the 30 highest ranked teams, 13 teams will be competing in this year's race. The remaining teams are ranked lower, up to and including 144th place. In total, there will be six WorldTeam teams, eleven ProTeam teams and five Continental teams.

All of the above will have a total of 158 entries at the start of this year's race, with Adria Mobil, Ljubljana Gusto Santic and Sava Kranj making up the largest number of entries.

Equipo Kern Pharma from Spain is defending its team victory from 2023.

What does that tell you about the competition in this year's race? A lot, but without the names of the riders who will represent the teams a little less. Once all the riders at the start of the Jubilee edition are finally known, there will be less speculation about the competition. The new hero will be announced, as he has been 26 times before, on 16 June at the Main Square in Novo mesto.
